Temperatures to hit mid to high 30s in Dewsbury, Mirfield, Batley and Spen as Met Office issues extreme heat alert for parts of Yorkshire

An extreme heat alert has been issued for parts of Yorkshire by the Met Office, with temperatures forecast to reach as high as 37°C in Dewsbury, Mirfield, Batley and Spen by the middle of this week.
